Nanovea Mechanical Testers provide unmatched multi-function Nano, Micro or Macro modules on a single platform. Both the Nano, Micro or Macro modules include ISO and ASTM compliant indentation, scratch and wear tester modes providing the widest and most user friendly range of testing available on a single module. 's unmatched range is an ideal solution for determining the full range of mechanical properties of thin or thick, soft or hard coatings, films and substrates. Applications range from low loads to measure hardness and elastic modulus of biomaterials to high loads required to test the fracture toughness of hard coatings in the tooling industry. Nanovea indentation, scratch and wear tester modes use independent force & depth sensors to obtain depth versus load curves during indentation, plastic and elastic deformation during scratch testing and friction coefficient and wear rate during pin-on-disk or linear wear testing. Additionally, force feedback controlled loops insure high precision load control during indentation, scratch and wear tester modes. Both the Nanovea Platform and Compact Bases have been designed with versatility in mind to allow either the Nano Module up to 400mN or Micro or Macro Module from 40N-200N. Several optical imaging options including 3D non-contact profiler and AFM Module are available for high resolution 3D imaging of indentation, scratch and wear track in addition to other surface measurements such as roughness. Image pattern recognition is now a breakthrough Software option on both the Nano and Micro Module to allow automated indentation testing for quality control use (Nanovea PRVision).
